Pioneer Diary December 5, 1870


It started to snow this morning and I was freezing when I went outside. I wrapped my shawl tighter around me but the cold went through the thick wool. As I hurried inside, Mother called to me to hold Baby Joy. The afternoon passed quickly. Mother told us that it had stopped and we could go out to play. I got all wet from a snowball fight with Joseph.
